Brief Description
The Government of Rwanda, led by the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF) and in collaboration with its partners, continues to raise awareness about GBV through various initiatives. These include the annual 16 Days of Activism against GBV, which features community awareness campaigns, gender accountability days, dialogues with community leaders and youth, radio talk shows, and engagement meetings. Additionally, the annual "Justice Week" focuses on legal matters, including GBV prevention and legal aid services, while the "Governance Month" highlights crime prevention. Ongoing legal education and awareness efforts are also carried out by civil society organizations, professional bodies, and university legal aid clinics.
